My Projects

Thanks for visiting My Projects page.  Probably my favorite needlecraft is crochet, followed by cross stitch, quilting, and lace net darning. I hope after looking at my projects, you will be inspired to learn a craft and will visit my How-To Pages for step by step instructions.  Please take time to sign my guestbook.  I love to hear from people that have visited my website and found something that sparkled an enthusiasm to learn a new craft.

Lace Net Darning

The two projects above are done in Lace Net Darning.  This is a needlecraft was popular in the 1980's.  It's not easy to find patterns but I have found that filet crochet patterns can be adapted.

I really had fun designing this Lace Net Darning Owl.  As you can image, this window is very difficult to find a window treatment for.  The owl is weaved on latch hook canvas because of the larger mesh count.  I used 4 strands of Ecru #10 crochet thread.

I liked it so well, that I also made another one to frame.  It's weaved on regular lace net darning cloth.  I matted it on gold mat board and framed it for my office at school.
The owl is our mascot.
